Buying a Personalized Gift for Your Girlfriend

So you’ve been searching far and distant lands, throughout the internet, and have been thinking for hours — what can you buy your girlfriend that’s memorable, thoughtful and will be kept for years to come? Well, this is truly a tough question, but there is a solution, so you should not fear.

What is the ideal present for your girlfriend? Simply said, a personalized or engraved gift. It really doesn’t get much better. Think about it this way: a gift that is created specifically for an individual is more likely to be retained over time. It has more meaning to the recipient and shows extra effort in buying the gift itself. You didn’t just grab something off a department store shelf, you put thought into it.

The next thing you’re probably wondering is what personalized gifts to buy? To give you some ideas, I have included my favorites below:

  1. Silver Photo Keychain
  2. Jewelry Box with Rhinestones
  3. Engraved Picture Frame

I hope this article has been helpful and good luck with your gift buying journey.

Northern California Personalized Business Gifts

I lived in Northern California for a short period of my life—by short I mean about half a decade, but there are so many fond memories. Between surfing the hook in Santa Cruz, wine tasting in Napa Valley, and camping in Big Sur, you really can’t ask for more, but Northern California delivers more. Surreal camping, stellar surfing, and the best wine in the world (sorry France) would be plenty, but the long coastal drives along Highway 1, booming metropolises such as Silicon Valley (and the nearby areas: Menlo Park, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, San Jose, Palo Alto, and Mountain View), and the internationally acclaimed style and passion of San Francisco make Northern California one of the greatest and most diverse places in the world.

While living in Northern California, above all else, I learned that appreciative people give gifts. At that, I learned how to give great gifts. From the businessmen in the industrious Silicon Valley, the most prevalent tip is this: for executive gifts, try to be personal yet retain business professionalism. An excellent gift idea for such an occasion is a personalized executive gift. Something such as a personalized leather desk set or a personalized clock is just right. Further from the wine folk in Napa, Saratoga, and Sonoma, the consensus is that a great gift involves an activity. A perfect gift as such would be a wine or beer accessory, with which you and the recipient can sit and enjoy some time together. Lastly, from just about everyone, the typical perspective is that giving gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine’s Day, christenings, baptisms, and the like is super important and can also be a fun experience.

Have fun, and enjoy the rewarding act of giving gifts.

Personalized Executive/Corporate Gifts in Orange County

No, not The OC, though I must admit I never missed an episode. The real Orange County. When I was a little younger, I used to enjoy some of the greatest shows of my life at The Chain Reaction. Now, I am much more appreciative of the county’s beautiful residences, thriving business structure, and great shopping. Of course, however, I will never be too old for Disney.

Orange County is home to many of the country’s most noteworthy businesses such as Ingram Micro, Quicksilver, Linksys, Mitsubishi, Oakley, and Activision. The list goes on, but the point is clear. Business thrives here.

Shopping is stellar too, with South Coast Plaza, Fashion Plaza, and Brea Mall at the residents’ pleasurable disposal. The county really benefits from shopping probably as accessible as that in London. The school system is among the best; attractions are ample; what more could one want?

If you are a happy, hard-working Orange County resident, you may come to a point when you would like to show your appreciation for your fellow co-workers. In a city with such booming business, buying executive gifts is simply common place. How can you possibly stand out from the crowd? The foremost two methods are as follows:

  1. Make it personal. In the business word, it is so easy for things to feel mundane and impersonal. The aforementioned businesses have an unbelievable number of employees. If you know the recipient well, try to find a gift that will fit into their hobbies. Cigar accessories, wine accessories, flasks, etc are all great gifts which are small, simple, and personal if chosen wisely.
  2. Get it personalized. No matter the gift, if it says their name on it, it’s already ten-times more personalized. Put that together with method number one, and you are looking at some awesome executive gifts. Work gifts such as personalized pens and pencils, personalized leather desk sets, personalized clocks, personalized book ends, personalized picture frames and photo albums, and personalized business card holders are all perfect executive gifts that are sure to be appreciated.

As a bonus tip, think about upcoming occasions. Valentine’s Day is coming up; Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, anniversaries, weddings, and birthdays are all occasions where the above tips should help as well.

Enjoy your day, especially if you are in the great Orange County. Once the recent storms fully subside the weather will return to paradise. I’m patiently waiting.

Living in San Diego During The Recent Storms

Ahh the joys of being in San Diego: from the laid back vibe of Encinitas down south to the busy downtown feel. No matter how you look at it, San Diego residents are some of the luckiest in the world. Frankly, the weather is better than anywhere else, the beaches are cleaner than those north of it, and—if you are in San Diego right now, you know I’m going to mention it—the burritos might be even better than those south of the border!

If you are in San Diego, you are probably going through some tough time (tough by San Diegan standards, that is). Unless you’re enjoying the swells, the rain might be something to mope about when you are in a city that is supposed to enjoy year-round sunshine. Chances are that you’re twiddling your thumbs looking for something to do.

There are loads of things to do indoors. Here are just a few.

  1. First things first. I already mentioned my favorite thing to do indoors—EAT! If not for the awesome Mexican food, there are great coffee shops, which are well reputed to warm you up if you are wet and cold, and excellent bars and pubs strewn about. Surely something along these lines will make you forget about how cold it is outside.
  2. Stay indoors and play games. Monopoly is still king. ‘Nuff said.
  3. Go online and order gifts, especially for others. You are probably not the only one stuck indoors looking for something to cheer them up. Maybe your mom would like a nice jewelry box. Is your dad a cigar smoker? Perhaps he would appreciate some cigar accessories. Think about things that could be enjoyed indoors, such as a leather desk set or wine accessories. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Have you gotten your Valentine’s Day gifts for your girlfriend/boyfriend? There are lots of gifts for Valentine’s Day available online which can serve the dual purpose of also allowing you to stay indoors, rather than out in the rain searching for presents for Valentine’s Day.

Good luck, stay dry, and think warm!

Secret Cupid – A Unique Idea for Valentine’s Day

It’s cold. It’s rainy. What could be worse than sitting around ordering chow mein alone on the national day of love? Valentine’s Day can be a bit of a downer when you don’t have anyone to spend it with, right? Wrong. Don’t fret—you’re not the least bit alone. According to the 2005 Census, 41% of Americans over the age of 18 are unmarried and single. That means that this February 14th is a great day to get together with friends and family who are also single to enjoy each other’s company.

Further, it is an excellent opportunity to go ahead with some creative planning ideas. Might I recommend a game of Secret Cupid? This is a fun and exciting thing to do on a very gift-giving type of holiday. It’s just a Valentine’s Day version of Secret Santa, but it’s the perfect way for single friends and family to give and get Valentine’s Day Gifts.

Gone are the days when singles watched their “attached” friends and family pick out romantic gifts for loved ones on Valentine’s Day. With a simple and fun activity like Secret Cupid, Valentine’s presents are for everyone.

As far as great gift ideas for a game of Secret Cupid, think simple but useful. Picture frames and photo albums are perfect. As are business card holders, clocks, pens and pencils, book ends, flasks, and the like. With these little Valentine’s Day gift ideas, your game of Secret Cupid will be fun and exciting.
